THE CITTA STORY
OUR VISION
Give new life to centuries-old Indian handicrafts and create mutually beneficial ways for everybody to make a meaningful difference.
CITTA’s PROMISE TO YOU
To bring you centuries-old Indian handicrafts in beautiful modern dresses
The handicrafts are diverse, rich in history and reflect the influence of different empires, through the years. We have traveled to the very same small towns where these crafts originated in a bid to bring to you authentic exquisite drapes made into beautiful dresses, blouses, skirts etc.
Help us spread love.
By purchasing these gorgeous hand-crafted dresses, you will be lifting one person or even a family from poverty by making a meaningful difference that will create a ripple of change in the community. All CITTA dresses have been stitched by an NGO - Literacy India’s project Indha, who support women and children based in India, which generates a living for skilled but marginalized women giving them a chance to dream once again.

THE FOUNDER
I fell in love with fashion, fabrics and starting stitching clothes for dolls from an early age. Growing up I had the privilege to travel to all parts of India and was exposed to various exquisite handicrafts like beautiful Chikaankari, simple Katha, gorgeous Phulkari.
I also fell in love with hotels at a young age of 13 and dreamt of working in hotels which turned to reality for 20 years. My first love of fabrics and fashion kept growing stronger over the years and I started stitching gorgeous dresses for my little angels after we moved to Dubai. Dubai has a multicultural environment and I wished to showcase India’s traditional handicrafts to all living here.
With a rich cultural heritage all around India, the desire to mix legacy codes with modern edge to create exquisite designs arose and thereby CITTA – a concept brand was born.
